Martinook&#8217;s goal ended a game that can be talked about for a while.<\/p>\n<p>Carolina thought it had won the sport in the primary extra time when Mark Jankowski found the back of the web, but that goal was waived off following an offside review. He stopped 43 of the Hurricanes&#8217; 46 shots on goal. But Frederik Andersen also had a gallant effort between the pipes, turning away 37 of 39 shots from the Senators, and was integral in Carolina shutting down all three of Ottawa&#8217;s power plays.<\/p>\n<p>Carolina raced to a 2-0 lead in Game 2 with a goal in the primary period by Logan Stankoven and a second-period rating by Sebastian Aho.
