In keeping with TMZ<\/a>, D4vd appeared in court on Monday, April 20, hours after he was charged with lewd and lascivious sexual acts with an individual under 14 years old, mutilation of a human body, and first-degree murder for the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. To notice, he was also charged with \u201cspecial circumstances,\u201d which included \u201clying in wait, committing the crime for financial gain, and murdering a witness to an investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per the outlet, along with pleading not guilty, D4vd\u2019s legal team also made a request of the court. Specifically, the team asked for his preliminary hearing to be held inside 10 days. Per TMZ<\/a>, a defendant is \u201centitled\u201d to that timeline. But in addition, his team might be \u201cbanking on the case still being a piece in progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per the outlet, if the preliminary hearing arrives and prosecutors don\u2019t have witnesses and evidence ready, \u201cthe judge could dismiss the case outright.\u201d<\/p>\n

TMZ<\/a> adds that the family of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez attended D4vd\u2019s arraignment. Moreover, the outlet published footage of D4vd contained in the courtroom.<\/p>\n
