David Dhawan has hinted that his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai<\/em> could mark the tip of his directing profession. The veteran filmmaker, known for his future of economic entertainers, opened up about stepping back while speaking in regards to the film, which stars Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur.<\/p>\n David Dhawan hints at retirement, says \u2018This is likely to be my last film\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Reflecting on his journey and current phase in an interview with ANI, Dhawan said, \u201cI do not think I should do more. This is likely to be my last film. After this, I’ll just be Varun’s father,\u201d indicating that he could also be able to retire from filmmaking. He also pointed to health concerns throughout the shoot, recalling, \u201cI used to be very unwell throughout the shooting of this film. Varun took great care of me, he had all doctors’ numbers, stayed in contact with them, and was at all times there. He’s an entire family man.\u201d<\/p>\n The filmmaker also spoke about working together with his son, emphasising that their personal bond doesn’t interfere with their skilled dynamic. \u201cOnce I’m behind the camera, he isn’t my son, he’s an actor. I just need the result,\u201d he said, underlining his approach on set. Addressing how filmmaking processes have evolved, Dhawan added, \u201cIn our time, movies were made on trust. Even actors like Salman Khan or Govinda or Sanjay Dutt didn’t at all times hear full scripts.
