John Terry desired to take interim charge of Chelsea after Liam Rosenior\u2019s sacking but was turned down by the club\u2019s hierarchy, in response to reports.<\/p>\n
Rosenior was dismissed by Chelsea on Wednesday, lower than 24 hours after the team\u2019s 3-0 defeat away to Brighton within the Premier League.<\/p>\n
Chelsea have now lost five Premier League games in a row and have appointed Calum McFarlane has as interim manager for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n
In accordance with talkSPORT presenter Andy Jacobs, who can also be a season ticket holder at Chelsea, Terry would have agreed a short lived role, nevertheless, the club\u2019s hierarchy have made it clear \u2018in no uncertain terms\u2019 that he won’t ever manage the team.<\/p>\n
\u2018Every Chelsea fan would love John Terry to are available until the top of the season,\u2019 Jacobs said.<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve been told he desired to do it, but I\u2019ve been told they didn\u2019t want him.<\/p>\n
\u2018They usually told him in no uncertain terms that he won’t ever, ever get the job.\u2019<\/p>\n Terry works as an element\u2011time mentor in Chelsea\u2019s academy but was not included among the many Under-21s staff who were temporarily promoted for the games against Manchester City and Fulham in January after Enzo Maresca left Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n Speaking in February, Terry admitted he was \u2018frustrated\u2019 by Chelsea\u2019s decision to overlook him for an interim role with the first-team squad.<\/p>\n \u2018Not annoyed, probably more frustrated, because I used to be actually a part of that Under\u201121s group that went over,\u2019 Terry told Golf Life.<\/p>\n \u2018So even when I didn\u2019t take the team\u2026 Calum took the team, did very well, got a result out of the sport. I feel like I must have been a part of that.<\/p>\n \u2018Now listen, people have gotten to make decisions. I adore it when people make decisions they usually go \u2018yes\u2019 or \u2018no\u2019. Clearly the ownership, or whoever made those decisions \u2013 the sporting directors \u2013 have gone \u2018no\u2019 not to incorporate me, for whatever reason. I don\u2019t know why.\u2019<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Jacobs believes Rosenior began to lose Chelsea\u2019s dressing room after blaming a player for conceding a goal within the 1-1 draw with Burnley in February.<\/p>\n \u2018He\u2019s like an over-promoted junior, he\u2019s less than it, the players can smell it, footballers know, footballers know when the manager is a fake,\u2019 Jacobs said.<\/p>\n \u2018All of the performative stuff he does, it\u2019s so pathetic, I feel for him. Like last night, he was high-fiving his coaching staff\u2026 what for? It\u2019s absolutely pathetic.<\/p>\n \u2018He\u2019s the worst manager we\u2019ve ever had, surely. That\u2019s the worst performance Chelsea have put in ever. I\u2019ve seen some stinkers in my lifetime, you may tell they simply turned it in, couldn\u2019t be bothered, they\u2019re interested by the World Cup, they don\u2019t need to get injured.<\/p>\n \u2018The issue with all of that is the sporting directors \u2013 [Paul] Winstanley, [Laurence] Stewart, and [Joe] Shields \u2013 they\u2019ve got to be fired. That\u2019s how useless these individuals are, all they need to do is buy wide players and we\u2019ve still got no wide players.<\/p>\n \u2018I mean Garnacho within the last two games, I\u2019ve never seen a player be so bad. He\u2019s beyond useless, he\u2019s indescribably pathetic. Enzo Fernandez absolutely disgusting performance, how dare he stand there staring in front of the fans, he was pitiful, pulling out of challenges.<\/p>\n \u2018He [Rosenior] had a bit little bit of a period where the players sort of bought in to what he was doing and suddenly because it dawns upon them, this guy is making mistake after mistake.
