Chelsea have lost their last five Premier League games under Liam Rosenior (Reuters)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Chelsea have sacked Liam Rosenior and have confirmed Calum McFarlane has returned as interim manager for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Rosenior has been dismissed lower than 24 hours after Chelsea\u2019s 3-0 defeat away to Brighton on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The defeat on the Amex Stadium means Chelsea have now lost five league games without scoring a goal for the primary time since 1912.<\/p>\n

Chelsea currently sit seventh within the Premier League and are seven points behind fifth-placed Liverpool, who occupy the ultimate Champions League qualification place.<\/p>\n

McFarlane, who took temporary charge after Enzo Maresca\u2019s exit in January for Chelsea\u2019s 1-1 draw away to Manchester City and the 2-1 defeat at Fulham, will probably be within the dugout for the team\u2019s FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United at Wembley this Sunday.<\/p>\n
