Medical Report Confirms Homicide In Celeste Case<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In response to the report<\/a> released Wednesday, Celeste Rivas Hernandez died from \u201cmultiple penetrating injuries brought on by object(s),<\/strong>\u201d with the way of death officially ruled a homicide. The Medical Examiner noted two penetrating wounds to her torso, including one in her right abdomen that injured her liver and one other in her left chest. Two of her fingers were reportedly missing. The report also indicated<\/a> presumptive positives for benzodiazepines and methamphetamine\/MDMA in her system.<\/p>\n

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Odey Ukpo addressed the discharge of the findings<\/a>, expressing each relief and gravity in finally sharing the data with the general public and the victim\u2019s family. He emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and prevention. And he even stated that access to those findings is important for community awareness and future harm-reduction efforts.
