A site that some experts consider could hide the stays of Noah\u2019s Ark has been found to feature corridors matching those described within the bible, researchers have now claimed.<\/p>\n

The vessel, which the Bible says saved two of each animal when God sent a flood to purge the world of evil, is believed to have landed on Mount Ararat, also generally known as Agri Mountain, in Turkey greater than 4,000 years ago.<\/p>\n

Now, a team of American researchers working on the nearby Durupinar Formation \u2013 a boat-shaped geological structure that has been on the centre of Noah\u2019s Ark claims for a long time \u2013 have used ground-penetrating radar to find what they are saying is a network of tunnels below surface level.<\/p>\n

Andrew Jones, an independent researcher with Noah\u2019s Ark Scans, says these corridors result in a hole central chamber.<\/p>\n

He links the find to the Bible\u2019s description of the ark, where it\u2019s stated that the boat contained three internal levels for Noah, his members of the family and the animals.<\/p>\n

Jones explained: \u2018God told Noah to bring the animals in. And so these animals would have stayed there, plus Noah and his family.<\/p>\n

\u2018What\u2019s interesting is that these voids are lining up below the bottom \u2014 and so they\u2019re not only random. These tunnels also follow a pattern.\u2019<\/p>\n

He added that further studies using special infrared technology have indicated the presence of a ship-shaped hull buried deep below the surface, Each day Mail<\/a> report.<\/p>\n

The Durupinar Formation was first identified in 1959 by Captain Ilhan Durupinar. <\/p>\n

Heavy rain and earthquakes later eroded the encircling earth, exposing more of the formation\u2019s outline.<\/p>\n

The structure has long drawn attention due to its boat-like shape and its proximity to Mount Ararat, Turkey\u2019s highest peak, which is related to the ark in Christian tradition.<\/p>\n

The Bible\u2019s Book of Genesis states that Noah\u2019s Ark got here to rest on the \u2018mountains of Ararat\u2019 after a flood that submerged the Earth for 150 days.<\/p>\n

Biblical measurements describe the Ark as 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high. <\/p>\n

While many have argued the formation on Mount Ararat is a naturally occurring feature, others have suggested it could point to the ark itself.<\/p>\n

Jones revealed that his team collected 88 samples from inside and out of doors of the formation in 2024, saying soil testing showed high levels of potassium in addition to decomposed lumber.<\/p>\n

\u2018We noticed that the grass growing inside the boat-shaped formation is a special color in comparison with the world just outside it,\u2019 he explained.<\/p>\n

That very same yr he said they found angular structures as much as 20 feet underground, which could represent rooms below a deck.<\/p>\n

One other Noah\u2019s Ark Scans researcher, William Crabtree, said that a tunnel runs from the highest of the formation on the mountain towards the center \u2014 and that it\u2019s large enough to walk through.<\/p>\n

Chatting with Patterns of Evidence, he said: \u2018The final word goal is just not just soil test, or GPR scans, but to get contained in the ship\u00a0one way or the other. <\/p>\n

\u2018Core drilling, getting samples deep within it to where we see the substructure, these voids, put a camera in it. That is a possibility coming up that possibly will allow us to try this next season.\u2019<\/p>\n

The findings come just months after pottery fragments were also found at the location, sparking further speculation that Mount Ararat was the ultimate resting place of the ark.<\/p>\n

The fragments, uncovered during road construction near the formation, indicate human activity within the region between 5500 BC and 3000 BC, a timeframe that some scholars and believers associate with the era traditionally linked to the biblical figure of Noah.<\/p>\n
