Arsenal reportedly decided against a transfer move for Alejandro Garnacho during last summer\u2019s transfer window.<\/p>\n

Garnacho, once thought to be considered one of United\u2019s brightest young talents, burned bridges at Old Trafford at the tip of last season when he publicly criticised Ruben Amorim after the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.<\/p>\n

He was placed in United\u2019s \u2018bomb squad\u2019 \u2013 exiled from training and pre-season games while a move away from Manchester was explored.<\/p>\n

While Bayern Munich and Napoli were credited with strong interest, Garnacho\u2019s preference was to stay within the Premier League with Chelsea eventually getting a \u00a340million deal over the road on transfer deadline day.<\/p>\n

There was nevertheless interest elsewhere within the English top flight with The Sun<\/a> reporting each Arsenal and Tottenham explored a deal.<\/p>\n

Arsenal were out there for a left winger last yr, showing interest in Anthony Gordon and Real Madrid star Rodrgyo before eventually signing Noni Madueke from Chelsea with Eberechi Eze also arriving from Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

While Garnacho was considered, the Gunners, together with their north London rivals and Atletico Madrid, decided against making formal moves after conducting \u2018due diligence\u2019.<\/p>\n

While he scored a memorable bicycle kick against Everton and within the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, Garnacho\u2019s time at United may even be remembered for accusations of ill-discipline, a scarcity of professionalism and problematic social media activity from each him and his brother.<\/p>\n

That got here to a head after the defeat to Spurs in Budapest when the Argentine took aim at Amorim.<\/p>\n

United players were said to be relieved to see him not included in pre-season plans last summer amid fears it could disrupt squad harmony.<\/p>\n

While Amorim is long gone, lingering ill-feeling between the squad and Garnacho was evident after United\u2019s victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.<\/p>\n

After the sport, Luke Shaw shared an image of him winning the ball from his former teammate with Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Joshua Zikrzee, Mason Mount, Ayden Heaven, Lisandro Martinez and Shea Lacey amongst those to love or comment on it.<\/p>\n
