After years on the sidelines, Ronda Rousey is now coming very near her long-awaited MMA return. Last seen losing to Amanda Nunes in 2016, Rousey soon left UFC and MMA to pursue a profession in skilled wrestling. After a successful run in WWE until 2023, Rousey parted ways with the promotion.<\/p>\n

Following this, she went on hiatus and gave birth to her second daughter in early 2025. She has now revealed her pregnancy to be a motivating consider her MMA comeback. Chatting with Geeks Vibes Nation, Rousey was asked what reinvigorated her return<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201c, Mike Tyson\u2019s comeback [against Jake Paul in 2024] being the most important combat sport of all time was one in all them. And I saw where she was at, and I used to be my big belly and where I used to be at. I used to be like, man, a fight between us could be huge. It might be huge. It\u2019d be greater than my belly,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m like, it\u2019s precisely what we want. It\u2019s precisely what would pull us out of this, not that being hugely pregnant is a rut, but it surely is like, , it\u2019s a bodily identity crisis. And I just knew after seeing her that this is precisely what she and I needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also opened up and revealed how she desired to bring back Gina Carano from the dark hole she had fallen into. Rousey claimed that following an issue, Carano was \u201ccanceled,\u201d which resulted in her eating unhealthily and gaining weight. Rousey was inspired to bring her back from that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was the closure that we each needed in the game. And that is like, everybody loves a redemption story. And I knew that I could be coming back only for me because I used to be the one making the phone call. what I mean? No person was calling me. No person, it got to the purpose where each person I saw all day wasn\u2019t asking me, When are you going to fight again? When are you going to fight again? Everyone had finally given up on it. So then I knew it was coming just from me. So I reached out to her, and he or she was down, and that was well over a 12 months ago,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Announced earlier this 12 months, Rousey is now scheduled to fight Gina Carano in May. 2026 at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. The fight shall be under the banner of Jake Paul’s MVP and streamed live to tell the tale Netflix.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
