The blockbuster success of Dhurandhar<\/em> (2025) and Dhurandhar The Revenge<\/em> (2026) has benefitted everyone related to the franchise. Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi is not any exception. Long admired for his impeccable comic timing and noteworthy body of labor, the actor has scaled recent heights of recognition with the Dhurandhar<\/em> series. Bollywood Hungama<\/strong> has exclusively learned that the producers of the Ranveer Singh-starrer were so overwhelmed by his performance and the love his character received that they rewarded him with an enormous amount over and above his agreed-upon fee.<\/p>\n

A source told Bollywood Hungama<\/strong>, \u201cAs Jameel Jamali, Rakesh Bedi impressed, entertained and completely won over the audience. His dialogues have grow to be immortal within the meme world, while the twist surrounding his character within the sequel further amplified his impact. The producers were deeply touched by the labor he put into making the character so memorable. As a token of gratitude, they decided to pay him additional remuneration.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source further revealed, \u201cRakesh Bedi was paid Rs. 50 lakhs for Dhurandhar<\/em> and Dhurandhar The Revenge<\/em>. After the discharge of the second part and its historic success, Aditya Dhar, who directed the movies and can be considered one of the producers, along together with his brother and partner Lokesh Dhar, handed him a cheque of Rs. 1 crore. Briefly, it was double the fee he had charged for the franchise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source added, \u201cWith the Dhurandhar<\/em> series and Uri: The Surgical Strike<\/em> (2019), Aditya Dhar has already proved that he’s a one-of-a-kind filmmaker. With this gesture, he has also shown that he’s a one-of-a-kind human being. It’s rare for any producer to make such a generous move.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aside from Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar\u2019s B62 Studios, Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge <\/em>are also produced by Jyoti Deshpande\u2019s Jio Studios. The franchise stars Ranveer Singh together with Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and others. The primary part told the story of a spy infiltrating Pakistan\u2019s mafia and political system and creating havoc from inside. The sequel carried the story forward as he continued to serve his country selflessly. Rakesh Bedi played the role of Jameel Jamali, a shrewd politician from Pakistan\u2019s Awami Party and a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.<\/p>\n
