The eGovPH platform is undergoing server upgrades to higher handle higher user demand, following a recent outage attributed to a surge in system traffic, in accordance with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on Friday.<\/p>\n
In a press release, the DICT said the improvements concentrate on upgrading the platform\u2019s servers and adding more cloud capability to accommodate increasing user demand.<\/p>\n
The agency also said it’s working closely with various government agencies to make sure their systems remain stable and well integrated into the platform.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a substitute of relying only on a central system, agencies at the moment are expected to higher manage their very own systems while staying connected through the eGovPH platform,\u201d David L. Almirol Jr., undersecretary for e-Government on the DICT, said in a press release.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is supposed to cut back bottlenecks and forestall system-wide outages,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Mr. Almirol also said the federal government is in search of additional funding to support the platform\u2019s upgrades.<\/p>\n
These efforts are available response to the outage, with reports first surfacing online around April 13. Users experienced difficulty logging in and accessing basic app services.<\/p>\n
The DICT clarified that the disruption was attributable to overwhelming traffic on the system, particularly following the rollout of latest features corresponding to eGov AI.<\/p>\n
