Ethan Hawke<\/strong> is opening up about his daughter Maya Hawke<\/strong>\u2019s surprise Valentine\u2019s Day wedding to singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was pretty fun,\u201d Ethan, 55, told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, April 23, on the Time<\/em> 100 Gala in Recent York City.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat really makes it’s, you already know, walking your daughter down the aisle. \u2026 I\u2019ve had numerous feelings in my life, and that was one I even have no words for what that seems like,\u201d the actor gushed. \u201cI even have no vocabulary for that. I felt like I used to be 13 experiencing life for the primary time, you already know?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ethan went on to praise Maya\u2019s recent husband.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMaya Hawke secretly said \u201cI do\u201d to Christian Lee Hutson on Valentine\u2019s Day 2026 after nearly three years of dating. Hawke and Hutson wed in February 2026 in Recent York City, per photos obtained by multiple outlets. While the newlyweds never publicly confirmed their engagement, they were first romantically linked in 2023. \u201cI cannot recommend [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe person she married is a tremendous young man, Christian, so I\u2019m a really lucky individual,\u201d Ethan said.<\/p>\n

Ethan shares Stranger Things<\/em> actress Maya, 27, and son Levon<\/strong>, 24, with ex-wife Uma Thurman<\/strong>. He also shares daughters Clementine, 17, and Indiana, 14, together with his current wife, Ryan Shawhughes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Maya and Christian, 35, wed in a surprise Recent York City ceremony on February 14 attended by Maya\u2019s parents and her Stranger Things<\/em> costars, including Finn Wolfhard<\/strong>, Gaten Matarazzo<\/strong>, Caleb McLaughlin<\/strong>, Sadie Sink<\/strong>, Natalia Dyer<\/strong> and Joe Keery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In March, Maya addressed her nuptials for the primary time on the premiere of her movie Wishful Pondering<\/em>, calling married life \u201cabsolutely improbable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a really, very lucky one that\u2019s very joyful without delay,\u201d Maya told People<\/em> on the time. \u201cAnd yeah, [I] couldn\u2019t be more grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel so lucky to have found my best friend and to have someone I can tell anything to,\u201d the actress added to Page Six<\/em>. \u201cIt makes something like getting married feel like, \u2018Oh, after all,\u2019 you already know, not like, \u2018What?\u2019 And I\u2019m very, very, very lucky, so I\u2019m really joyful.\u201d<\/p>\n
