Two sets of plans for the Washington Capitals and Alex Ovechkin<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sergei Bobrovsky still need to be paid, but will it come from the Florida Panthers?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Julian Gaudio of The Hockey News<\/strong><\/a>: Reports from Greg Wyshynski on The Sheet with Jeff Marek have the situation between the Florida Panthers and 37-year-old pending UFA Sergei Bobrovsky<\/a> as \u201cpretty bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bobrovsky is coming off a season with a 3.07 GAA and a profession worst .877 save percentage. There was speculation before the trade deadline that they might move him, which they obviously didn\u2019t. The Panthers aren\u2019t trying to overpay, with Bobrovsky considering he should get one other big contract.<\/p>\n

NHL Rumors: Washington Capitals, and the Vancouver Canucks<\/a><\/p>\n

The Panthers think they\u2019ll be back to contending next season, and in the event that they don\u2019t feel that Bobrovsky can get it done, they might have a look at moving on.<\/p>\n

Options for the Winnipeg Jets to upgrade down the center<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Murat Ates of The Athletic<\/strong><\/a>: The Winnipeg Jets biggest offseason need could be an upgrade at center, ideally a younger than Mark Scheifele<\/a> two-way player that doesn\u2019t have a no-trade or no-move clause.<\/p>\n

Option 5: Pettersson? Kotkaniemi? Let\u2019s discuss bad contracts \u2013 Elias Pettersson<\/a> ($11.6 million through 2031-32) and Jesperi Kotkaniemi<\/a> ($4.82 through 2029-30).<\/p>\n
