JCOMP\/FREEPIK<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nFDC GREEN ENERGY Corp., an entirely owned subsidiary of Filinvest Group\u2019s utility arm, FDC Utilities, Inc., has secured government approval to attach its solar project in Mindanao to the grid, allowing it to start business operations.<\/p>\n
In a press release on Thursday, FDC Utilities said it received a certificate of compliance from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for its 20.774-megawatt-peak ground-mounted solar facility to be built on the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate.<\/p>\n
The corporate said the certificate confirms that the power has met technical, safety, and regulatory requirements, allowing it to operate commercially.<\/p>\n
The solar project is predicted to generate about 30.2 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually.<\/p>\n
FDC Utilities said the project will add capability to the Mindanao grid once operational.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe continuing energy crisis has underscored the necessity for reliable and sustainable power solutions,\u201d said FDC Utilities President and Chief Executive Officer Juan Eugenio L. Roxas.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn an environment where global fuel markets are increasingly unpredictable, projects like this highlight the importance of investing in indigenous and renewable energy sources,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
