Actor-producer Sanjay Dutt, Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global (Aspect Entertainment), Subhash Ghai and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios announced Khalnayak Returns<\/em> at an event in Mumbai. Sanjay Dutt revealed that he\u2019ll be producing the second a part of the cult 1993 film under his banner, Three Dimension Motion Pictures.<\/p>\n

A journalist asked that besides Khalnayak, the opposite characters of the actor who’ve achieved legendary status are Raghu from Vaastav<\/em> (1999) and Murli Prasad Sharma from Munna Bhai<\/em>. Hence, the journalist enquired if sequels to those movies could possibly be made.<\/p>\n
Sanjay Dutt replied, \u201cWe’re working on Vaastav 2<\/em>. As for Munna Bhai<\/em>, you\u2019ll should ask Raju Hirani. Raju, please make Munna Bhai<\/em> again!\u201d<\/p>\n
At one point throughout the event, Subhash Ghai narrated, \u201cWith Sanju, I first worked in Vidhaata<\/em> (1982), through which he played the grandson of Dilip Kumar. He was forced into acting by his father (Sunil Dutt). He was like \u2018Essential kyun<\/em> actor banu<\/em>? Mujhe<\/em> motorcycle chalani hai\u2019<\/em>! He was having fun with life. He didn\u2019t know he would should work a lot as an actor. He was hardly 20 at the moment. I observed him and felt \u2018Yeh bechara phas gaya\u2019<\/em>! But one way or the other, he managed to work with Dilip saab. Slowly, he realized that he needed to take this profession very seriously. That\u2019s how he began improving at this craft. I could see his progress with each passing film like Sadak<\/em> (1991), Saajan<\/em> (1993), etc. I used to be like \u2018Yeh<\/em> ab<\/em> serious actor ban gaya hai\u2019<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
Subhash Ghai continued, \u201cOnce I began working on Khalnayak<\/em>, the news spread within the industry. Many stars met with me and expressed interest in doing the film. But I told them, \u2018I actually have an actor in mind already\u2019. I invited Sanju and narrated the story. He told me, \u2018Sir, I trust you. We’re doing this film\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sanjay Dutt raised laughs as he corrected, \u201cSubhas ji, you never narrated the story. You only told me, \u2018Yeh<\/em> film tujhe karni hai\u2019<\/em>!\u201d<\/p>\n
