Ukrainian soldiers saved an elderly woman\u2019s life by asking her to hop on the back of a robot. <\/p>\n

The lady, 72, was spotted by an aerial drone walking between dead bodies on a bullet-riddled road near town of Lyman, Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Aerial footage shows the unnamed woman leaning on two walking sticks as she makes her way through the region ravaged by Russian fighting. <\/p>\n

So fighters from the sixtieth Separate Mechanised Brigade launched a rescue mission using an unmanned ground system unit called Cerberus.<\/p>\n

The unit shared a video on social media showing one among the fighters watching the live feed as the lady stumbled. <\/p>\n

He says: \u2018It looks like shortness of breath or something.\u2019<\/p>\n

To avoid scaring her, the servicemen draped a blanket over the bot and left a written message saying: \u2018Grandma, hop on!\u2019<\/p>\n

Video from the command centre shows the soldiers telling the lady, \u2018Come on, come on, that\u2019s it!\u2019 as she climbs on the back of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

One adds: \u2018Zoom in on its legs, please, we wish to see in the event that they\u2019re catching on the tarmac in order that, God forbid, its tracks don\u2019t get damaged.\u2019<\/p>\n

The third Army Corp \u2013 which the sixtieth is an element of \u2013 wrote on X on Saturday that the lady\u2019s house of 53 years was destroyed by Russian forces. <\/p>\n

Three other villagers were evacuated as a part of the four-hour mission. <\/p>\n

The corp added on X: \u2018Once they reached an armoured vehicle, fighters from the first Mechanised Battalion took them out of the combat zone and transferred to the Angels patronage service from the third Corps.<\/p>\n

As she was taken into the back of the battalion\u2019s truck, one soldier might be heard saying: \u2018That\u2019s it, we will all finally breathe\u2026 Thank God.\u2019<\/p>\n

Lyman sits on the banks of the Siversky Donets River, which has served as a natural division between the Russian and Ukrainian front lines.<\/p>\n

There was a tug of war over the \u2018Gates of Donbas\u2019 for the reason that Russia-Ukraine conflict ignited in 2022. <\/p>\n

As a significant railway hub, the Kremlin seized town in May 2022, just for Ukrainian troops to reclaim it months later.<\/p>\n

While town stays under Kyiv, Russian forces burst back into it in December, making it a part of the war\u2019s \u2018grey zone\u2019 where control is unclear.<\/p>\n

It comes after Ukrainian soldiers evacuated a cat and a dog from the frontline using a robotic aerial vehicle. <\/p>\n

Fighters from the 14th Prince Roman the Great Separate Mechanised Brigade\u00a0were sending supplies to their fellow soldiers by drone.<\/p>\n

\u2018The drone\u00a0that delivered\u00a0the supplies returned with some passengers on board \u2013 a cat and a dog,\u2019 UAnimals, an animal welfare organisation, said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pets, which had travelled some 12km by drone, were later adopted by soldiers. <\/p>\n
