Connor Bedard needs a brand new contract, and the Chicago Blackhawks could look to be aggressive this offseason<\/strong><\/h2>\n

And that\u2019s going to be a number of money. $13-14, perhaps $15 million. So that you\u2019re going to allocate a superb chunk of your cap space, which is near $40 million or $30 million, something like that, going into next season. But you could have him locked in, and also you\u2019ve got Anton Frondell<\/a> there too. That\u2019s a hell of a one-two punch up the center for this group.<\/p>\n

And you recognize, Kyle Davidson, their GM, form of suggested this, or alluded to it, hinted at it. Some people in Chicago, others has have as well, that they\u2019re going to be very aggressive this season.<\/p>\n

We talked last week about San Jose and the way aggressive they\u2019re going to be with respect to the blue line. The priority is shoring up the blue line and finding latest D so as to add to that group. Someone who\u2019s a veteran piece with term, after which any person who\u2019s younger and controllable, but already on the NHL level.<\/p>\n

Chicago is doing similarly, but up front, on the wings. They need to incubate this growth period that they\u2019ve got with these guys, with the young guys up the center, in Frondell and Bedard, and produce them pieces that work that, that may work with them.<\/p>\n
