Finally.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Former England star Terry was amongst those reply, writing: \u2018100 per cent yes.\u2019 The post also seemed to be endorsed by one other former Blues captain in Clever who wrote \u2018200 per cent\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>Clever is the club\u2019s second most successful captain of all-time, behind Terry. He made 445 appearances for Chelsea, wearing the captain\u2019s armband from 1993 to when he left the club in 2001. <\/p>\n<p>It comes after Terry appeared to endorse policy to ban the burqa in public spaces in Britain last month.<\/p>\n<p>Lowe, a former chairman of Southampton, also said he would outlaw signs in foreign languages at stations.<\/p>\n<p>The previous centre-half responded to the post with three clapping emojis.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"431\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/GettyImages-2187688968.jpg?quality=90&#038;strip=all&#038;w=646\" class=\"article-image wp-image-28161654\" alt=\"Chelsea FC v Aston Villa FC - Premier League\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\">\t<\/div><figcaption>Clever also commented on Lowe\u2019s post (Picture: Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Terry was criticised for the post with the Restore leader later defending the 45-year-old.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I see that England\/Chelsea legend John Terry is taking some flak for applauding Restore Britain\u2019s policy of banning the burqa and ensuring that every one London stations use English, and English only.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018That is the position the overwhelming majority of the British people support.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018There may be now a political party that can say exactly what people think and fight to make it occur.
