The corporate also picked up TNA wrestling rights. And I don\u2019t think now&#8217;s any different than it was within the 60s, when <em>Sports Illustrated<\/em> was launched, and even before, like whenever you\u2019re coming through a period of giant strife and divide, and what we\u2019re all living through now, sports is a moment that brings everyone back together,\u201d adds Kim Kelleher, president and chief industrial officer for AMC Global Media. \u201cAnd I feel like there\u2019s the storytelling of sports, which is our entry. Dan is correct, we\u2019re not going to bid for NFL rights, but we will tell the story behind the greats. I feel that we\u2019re on to something very exciting here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>Thunder Road<\/em> will debut next 12 months, as will <em>Rise of the Saints<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn fact, AMC isn&#8217;t shying away from its bread and butter scripted dramas either. The corporate announced the event of a series based on the <em>Bannerman<\/em> spy novels by bestselling writer John Maxim.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tFilmmaker Shane Black (<em>Lethal Weapon<\/em>, <em>Kiss Kiss Bang Bang<\/em>, <em>Iron Man 2<\/em>) is attached to direct and executive produce with Craig Silverstein attached as creator and showrunner. So that they don\u2019t just want it in a linear environment or a digital-only environment or a CTV-only environment, like they need that first stream all over the place.
