The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> star Mikayla Matthews<\/strong> is officially on island time after moving to Hawaii amid her health journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cTravel with me to heal my skin!\u201d Matthews, 26, captioned an Instagram video<\/a> on Wednesday, April 29, during which she revealed she was leaving Utah for Hawaii while continuing her seek for \u201chealing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The truth star \u2014 who shares 4 children with husband Jace Terry<\/strong> \u2014 documented herself packing an oversized suitcase (which cost her $200 on the airport) and preparing for takeoff. (Matthews and Terry announced their separation during season 4 of SLOMW<\/em>, which aired in March, amid intimacy issues. The couple, nevertheless, frolicked together as a family in California in April.)<\/p>\n

Although Matthews had a couple of skin flare-ups because she was \u201cstressed,\u201d she told her followers upon arrival, \u201cI\u2019m just so excited to be here. Positive vibes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Mikayla Matthews is finding solace away from the group\u2019s lingering solid drama. \u201cAfter every thing occurring the last couple weeks, this was a really much-needed escape \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffc,\u201d Mikayla, 26, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 21, sharing footage of her family\u2019s beach vacation in California. \u201cThink I\u2019ll stay [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Matthews\u2019 move to Hawaii got here one week after she returned home to Utah following a month away.<\/p>\n

The TV personality, who has documented her health struggles on SLOMW<\/em>, explained on April 22 that she was \u201cterrified\u201d of returning to Utah after being in California for 3 weeks and in Costa Rica for five days<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Matthews explained via an Instagram video<\/a> that after living a month away, she felt \u201ca little bit more normal without these flares.\u201d<\/p>\n

She got emotional, saying that after she was back in Utah \u201con this environment,\u201d her skin almost immediately began to have a response. \u201cI\u2019m just surviving,\u201d Matthews said of her life in Utah, while she was actually \u201cliving\u201d in California and Costa Rica \u2014 even when the chronic illness wasn\u2019t totally gone.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to go to Switzerland and do a detox retreat,\u201d Matthews said on the time, confessing that her health problems have \u201ccompletely stripped me of a lot happiness, of a lot time with my kids that I\u2019m never going to get back.\u201d<\/p>\n

One week later, Matthews uprooted her life for the coastal air of Hawaii ahead of her planned detox in Europe. But once she arrived in Hawaii, she broke down eager about how lucky she is to give you the chance to afford treatment and move at a moment\u2019s notice.<\/p>\n
