Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will not be within the business of underestimating his opponents.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That will probably be the case when \u2018The Predator\u2019 enters the cage for the primary time since 2024 to fight on the Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano undercard on Netflix.<\/p>\n

<\/figure>\n

Ngannou is about to fight Philipe Lins, someone not many predict to see have his hand raised come fight night at Inglewood\u2019s Intuit Dome on May 16.<\/p>\n

However the ex-UFC star won\u2019t be taking the Brazilian frivolously, and it’ll be the same story if Ngannou\u2019s long-discussed boxing match with Jake Paul involves fruition afterwards.<\/p>\n

Francis Ngannou won\u2019t underestimate Jake Paul in potential boxing match<\/h2>\n

After leaving the UFC in 2023, Ngannou crossed over to boxing, a realm through which Paul has been making a splash.<\/p>\n

Having defeated a bunch of MMA stars within the ring, Paul was brutally beaten by Anthony Joshua last December. \u2018The Predator\u2019 knows that feeling, having been put out cold by the previous unified heavyweight world champion himself in early 2024.<\/p>\n

Ngannou had the possibility to be the one accountable for Paul\u2019s first stoppage loss but turned down the short-notice clash after the withdrawal of Gervonta Davis, describing the offer as \u201cdisrespectful.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been talk of the Cameroonian changing that stance as he eyes up a 3rd pro boxing match. If that’s the case, he won\u2019t view the polarizing ex-Disney star as a walk within the park.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never take a fight as a simple fight. Don\u2019t (make that) mistake,\u201d Ngannou told The Schmo<\/a> when asked if the Paul fight could be a cushty night on the office.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd you furthermore mght have to grasp that he has faith and he believes in himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow we have counted him out so repeatedly after which (been) mistaken,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u2018El Gallo\u2019 has been less respectful relating to his assessment of the potential match against the previous UFC champ. Paul has called Ngannou a \u201cterrible boxer\u201d amid the continued talk of a grudge match contained in the ring.<\/p>\n

Despite being beaten by \u2018AJ\u2019, Paul continues to be yet to be knocked out cold in boxing. Perhaps \u2018The Predator\u2019 will take up the possibility to alter that, having been one of the destructive forces in combat sports since rising through the ranks within the UFC.<\/p>\n
