That is the moment a person runs up behind a\u00a0nun\u00a0walking on the street and violently shoves her to the bottom causing her to hit her head on a curb before he repeatedly kicks her.<\/p>\n

The footage shows the incident in front of the Cenacle, situated on Mount Zion, on April 28.<\/p>\n

It isn’t removed from King David\u2019s Tomb, which is a site of great importance to Christians who consider it to be where Jesus Christ had the Last Supper.<\/p>\n

The video of the attack shows the suspect, not named by the authorities but said to be 36 years old, running as much as the\u00a0nun and violently pushing her to the bottom.<\/p>\n

Olivier Poquillon, the director of the French School of Biblical and Archaeological Research, said the\u00a0nun\u00a0was a researcher at the college and called the attack an \u2018act of sectarian violence\u2019 in a post on X.<\/p>\n

She appears to hit her head hard on a curb before the suspect starts walking away.<\/p>\n

But he then appears to alter his mind and returns, repeatedly kicking her before a shocked eyewitness runs as much as stop him.<\/p>\n

The footage then shows Israeli police later arresting the suspect after he was identified.<\/p>\n

Israel Police said in an announcement on thirtieth April: \u2018Officers from the David precinct situated the suspect, aged 36, and arrested him on suspicion of assault motivated by racism.\u2019<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that the incident has contributed to growing concern over attacks targeting Christian individuals in the world, that are on the rise.<\/p>\n

Police declined to reveal the suspect\u2019s nationality but reportedly said that he was arrested \u201con suspicion of assault, with all potential motives under examination\u201d.<\/p>\n

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault is ongoing.<\/p>\n
