Liverpool are in talks to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton ahead of Manchester United, based on reports.<\/p>\n

Palace are reportedly demanding an \u00a380 million fee for the 22-year-old, who was signed for an initial \u00a318m from Blackburn Rovers two years ago.<\/p>\n

The England international is just not in need of options with Manchester United and Chelsea each keen on a deal in the summertime transfer window.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, Marca<\/a> reports that Liverpool have stepped up their interest and are currently in \u2018advanced talks\u2019 to sign Wharton from Palace.<\/p>\n

The report adds that Liverpool are also in discussions to sign Marcos Senesi, whose contract with Bournemouth expires at the top of the season.<\/p>\n

Tottenham have also made an approach to sign the Argentine centre-back on a free transfer at the top of the season.<\/p>\n

Asked about his future at Palace this week, Wharton said: \u2018Obviously the praise is nice and being linked with big clubs it\u2019s obviously a compliment in a way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018As much praise as you get, there\u2019s also the opposite side of it where other people don\u2019t think you might be doing thoroughly or other clubs don\u2019t want you because they don\u2019t like this thing about you.<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t really listen to it. I do know that I\u2019m doing well. The coach will tell me. To them, they\u2019re those who can have the largest impact on me and help me develop my profession. The surface ones, I don\u2019t really concentrate on it. I just attempt to concentrate on myself.\u2019<\/p>\n
