Could the Toronto Maple Leafs have a look at doing something real big in the event that they desired to make an enormous change?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Leafs Nation<\/strong><\/a>: Mike Rupp on what if the Toronto Maple Leafs checked out making an actual change, and thought of moving Auston Matthews or William Nylander. You don\u2019t should trade them, but in case you desired to make an actual change, those are two that will do it.<\/p>\n

Nick Alberga: \u201cLet\u2019s say you\u2019re Chayka, otherwise you\u2019re Sundin. You’re taking over this job, are you open to just about anything that features, you already know, guys like Matthews and Nylander in that conversation, potentially trade them?<\/p>\n

Rupp: \u201cI feel so. I mean, the whole lot\u2019s going to be based off of what you may get. I used to be type of having a fun little game here, somewhat while back, I used to be talking to Andy Petrillo, was working along with her the one night. And I said, \u2018Hey Andy, let\u2019s speak about your Leafs for a second.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018what would occur if, I don\u2019t know, let\u2019s just say, in a world where, I don\u2019t know, the Minnesota Wild. They need a centerman; they arrive to get Auston Matthews. Now they asked for, or they provide Matt Boldy straight up, what would you do?<\/p>\n

And I asked a few Leafs fans this, and there like, \u2018I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t know.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, I feel you need to take it. I do know he\u2019s not a middle, but like, what Matt boldy is beginning to turn into as a player.<\/p>\n

Like, I, I feel there\u2019s something, there\u2019s something here where I don\u2019t think you could have to trade Auston. I don\u2019t think you could have to trade Willy. But I, you speak about making real changes with this group. I mean, those are the blokes which are going to do it.<\/p>\n

And so I just don\u2019t, I don\u2019t know, with each of them on the team, and the way in which that each one those things I talked about before. I just, I just don\u2019t know if there\u2019s an excessive amount of passiveness on this team. After which you’ll have to take a step back to take a step forward. So, yeah, I don\u2019t know. I mean, while you want change, sometimes you bought to take a look at the players which are value probably the most or valued probably the most to get change. And that\u2019s type of where I\u2019m at with those guys.<\/p>\n
