A shooting Sunday night at a celebration at a lake near Oklahoma City sent not less than 12 people to hospitals, in line with police and hospital officials.<\/p>\n

Edmond police spokesperson Emily Ward said authorities received reports of shots being fired at about 9 p.m. at a gathering of young people near Arcadia Lake. She said late Sunday that no arrests had been made yet.<\/p>\n

\u2018This is clearly a really terrifying situation and we understand the priority from the general public and people involved and we’re working extremely hard to search out the suspects, \u2018 she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019re type of everywhere in the metro speaking with victims and witnesses,\u2019 Ward said. She said that 10 people were taken to hospitals, and others drove themselves.<\/p>\n

Nine people were at Integris Health Baptist Medical Centre in Oklahoma City, and three were at Integris Health Edmond Hospital, in line with a hospital system spokesperson. <\/p>\n

The spokesperson said the patients were all still being assessed late Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Officers were seen searching the grass outside the Southwyck House estate on Cardharbour Lane on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

One local resident said he thought the shooting took place during a barbecue party on the patch of green, which was described as \u2018packed\u2019 and attended by families and youngsters.<\/p>\n
