Louis Saha has branded a current Manchester United player the \u2018most disappointing signing within the club\u2019s history\u2019.<\/p>\n

United were clinical within the transfer market during Sir Alex Ferguson\u2019s long and successful time in charge nevertheless it has been a distinct story since his retirement in 2013.<\/p>\n

Billions have been spent in that period but the large investment has led to only limited success, with United failing to win the Premier League title since Fergie\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n

Paul Pogba, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Romelu Lukaku and Rasmus Hojlund \u2013 all signed for at the least \u00a370m \u2013 are five of Manchester United\u2019s six most costly signings alongside current star Harry Maguire.<\/p>\n

All didn’t justify their stunning price tags but former United striker Saha believes Sancho was the \u2018most disappointing\u2019 of the lot.<\/p>\n

Signed for \u00a373m in 2021, Sancho scored just 12 goals in 83 appearances for the Red Devils before being sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

Sancho is remarkably still contracted to Manchester United but is finally set to chop ties with the club when his current deal expires in the summertime.<\/p>\n

Saha was excited by Sancho\u2019s arrival at Old Trafford and believed he has \u2018enormous talent\u2019 and says his struggles were a \u2018mystery\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018I believe Jadon Sancho is probably the most disappointing signing in Manchester United history,\u2019 Saha told BetVictor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018That\u2019s due to level he had shown at Borussia Dortmund before joining, he showed a lot promise because he’s an unlimited talent.<\/p>\n

    Aston Villa don’t intend to sign Sancho on a everlasting transfer at the top of the season however the 26-year-old has attracted interest from his former club Borussia Dortmund.<\/p>\n

    Sancho\u2019s parent club Manchester United sealed qualification to next season\u2019s Champions League on Sunday with an exhilarating 3-2 win over Liverpool.<\/p>\n

    That victory all but secures third-place for United within the Premier League and Saha expects his former club to challenge for the title next season.<\/p>\n

    \u2018They needs to be competing for the title next season,\u2019 Saha added. \u2018They’re acting at a better level than the outcomes across your complete season have shown.<\/p>\n

    \u2018When you take a look at the recent run, you would argue they need to have at the least 10 more points and might have been within the title race.<\/p>\n

    \u2018Next season, with more stability, and two or three key players joining the core group of players we retain, I believe we will aim higher.<\/p>\n

    \u2018We’d like to go further within the cups and be competing for the Champions League knockout places. There is certainly more realistic hope.\u2019<\/p>\n
