The US has denied reports from Iranian media that a Navy ship was hit by two missiles near the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

Fars news agency, a semi-official outlet, claimed the attack took place on a frigate near the port of Jask which lies on the southern end of the Strait.<\/p>\n

The Iranian armed forces had warned foreign navies to avoid the vital waterway, after Donald Trump suggested yesterday the US would help to guide ships from all over the world through Iran\u2019s blockade.<\/p>\n

His initiative would begin \u2018Monday morning Middle East time\u2019 and be dubbed \u2018Project Freedom\u2019, the US President wrote on his Truth Social platform.<\/p>\n

In accordance with Fars, the US warship was forced to show around and sail away from the world.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, US Central Command denied the reports from the Iranian news outlet.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, the body said: \u2018No US Navy ships have been struck. <\/p>\n

\u2018US forces are supporting Project Freedom and enforcing the naval blockade on Iranian ports.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday: \u2018For the great of Iran, the Middle East, and america, we have now told these Countries that we’ll guide their Ships safely out of those restricted Waterways, in order that they’ll freely and ably get on with their business. <\/p>\n

\u2018Again, these are Ships from areas of the World that aren’t in any way involved with that which is currently happening within the Middle East.\u2019<\/p>\n

Central Command has said 15,000 service members will likely be involved within the initiative to revive freedom of navigation, together with guided-missile destroyers and greater than 100 land and sea-based aircraft.<\/p>\n
