Two individuals are dead and diverse others are injured after a automobile ploughed right into a busy pedestrian area in Germany. <\/p>\n

The grey SUV smashed right into a crowd of individuals in Leipzig city centre on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The vehicle then sped away before the driving force was apprehended, Sachsen Police said.<\/p>\n

The town\u2019s mayor said two people were killed. Officials added that two others were seriously injured, with 20 other casualties.<\/p>\n

He added: \u2018We’re devastated. All I can do straight away is express my solidarity with the victims\u2019 families.<\/p>\n

\u2018All the things else will now rely on the work of the police and investigating authorities.\u2019<\/p>\n

The automobile had was the pedestrian zone at Augustusplatz within the east German city, near Grimmaische Stra\u00dfe, which results in the principal shopping district.<\/p>\n
