Anthony Joshua\u2019s boxing profession seemed to be in limbo following the deadly accident in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

In recent months, the 36-year-old has been training with the intent of returning to the ring. <\/p>\n

On Monday, it was announced that Joshua will face Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25.<\/p>\n

Prenga boasts a 20-1 record and has scored knockouts in each one among his boxing wins.<\/p>\n

The 6ft 5in Albanian\u2019s resume doesn\u2019t include anyone remotely near Joshua\u2019s level.<\/p>\n

Prenga is viewed as a comparatively straightforward warm-up fight ahead of something much greater.<\/p>\n

Joshua has \u2018signed\u2019 to face Tyson Fury in an all-British blockbuster on Netflix within the fourth quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n

Anthony Joshua vs. Kristian Prenga has been met with widespread negativity on social media. <\/p>\n

Many boxing fans imagine \u2018AJ\u2019 should\u2019ve picked a greater opponent or jumped straight in with Tyson Fury. <\/p>\n

\u201cCan crushing at its finest,\u201d one fan said. While one other asked: \u201cWho the f\u2014 is that this?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHahaha, fighting a man whose last opponent was 16-15,\u201d one other person commented.<\/p>\n

\u201cHorrible, they need to have him vs. [Deontay] Wilder before he fights Fury,\u201d another person fumed.<\/p>\n
