\n\tPersonal items from the estate of late \u201cFriends\u201d star Matthew Perry are headed to auction next month in partnership with his non-profit foundation<\/a>, which goals to scale back the stigma around addiction.<\/p>\n Among the many \u201cFriends\u201d-related items up for purchase are a set of 26 scripts for episodes including \u201cThe One With Ross\u2019s Tan,\u201d \u201cThe One Where Joey Speaks French\u201d and the two-part series finale, \u201cThe Last One\u201d; two other scripts signed by Perry, and his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer which were donated by Warner Bros.; a photograph album titled \u201cThe One With the Last Supper,\u201d with a letter from \u201cJenny\u201d within the back; and Perry\u2019s replica of the yellow peephole frame from Monica\u2019s apartment.<\/p>\n Starting June 5, the charity auction will donate its net proceeds to \u201cadvance Matthew\u2019s most meaningful legacy: constructing a future free from addiction stigma, where one and all in search of recovery has access to the care, resources and the community they should thrive,\u201d based on a press release from Heritage Auctions.<\/p>\n Additional beneficiaries include the Matthew Perry Foundation Fellowship in Addiction Medicine<\/a> at Massachusetts General Hospital; Healing Appalachia<\/a>, a recovery-focused sober music festival; and grassroots recovery grants for other frontline organizations.<\/p>\n Perry battled addictions for much of his life and died on Oct. 28, 2023, from the consequences of ketamine use.<\/p>\n \n\tPerry\u2019s 1995 SAG Award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a television comedy series and a private collection of artwork from artists equivalent to Banksy and Mel Bochner are also up for auction.<\/p>\n Proxy bidding for the Matthew Perry Estate Auction opened Tuesday, allowing interested parties to put bids before the live auction begins. Items will be previewed in person at Heritage Auctions\u2019 Beverly Hills showroom from May 18-29 before the auction takes place online and in person in Dallas on June 5.<\/p>\n \u201cMatthew believed addiction must be met with compassion and science, not stigma and silence,\u201d said Lisa Kasteler Calio, CEO of the Matthew Perry Foundation. \u201cThis auction fuels the inspiration\u2019s work to expand access to evidence-based care and confront stigma.
