The Other Bennet Sister<\/em>\u2018s D\u00f3nal Finn<\/strong> is joining the ranks of other iconic fictional regency men who yearn \u2014 including Bridgerton<\/em>\u2018s Jonathan Bailey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finn, 39, spoke exclusively to Us Weekly<\/em> about TV fans who’ve compared his character, Mr. Tom Hayward, to Bailey\u2019s Anthony Bridgerton, joking, \u201cI hadn\u2019t heard of the Bridgerton<\/em> school of craving but I should enroll.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite not being conversant in season 2 of Bridgerton<\/em>, Finn has been a giant fan of Bailey\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like Jonathan Bailey. He’s a reasonably inspiring man \u2014 and pretty easy man to fall in love with after I watched Wicked,\u201d he told Us, referring to Bailey\u2019s role as Prince Fiyero. \u201cI actually have to admit I haven\u2019t watched Bridgerton so I haven\u2019t been to the varsity of craving yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJonathan Bailey has earned himself a fame due to his onscreen ability to perfectly play a person in love. Before becoming a consistent fixture on Us Weekly\u2018s TV screens, Bailey began his acting profession as a toddler star on the West End. He later transitioned to more mature roles comparable to Leonardo, Broadchurch, Crashing and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Finn continued: \u201cOn condition that we have now finished this project, I’ll probably have to fill that void with one other Regency show. So possibly I’ll now get around to watching Bridgerton.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on Julia Quinn<\/strong>\u2018s book series, the show follows a unique sibling from the Bridgerton family in every season on their journey to seek out love within the Regency era. Season 2 adapted The Viscount Who Loved Me<\/em>, which followed Anthony Bridgerton (Bailey) finding love with Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley<\/strong>) to resounding success.<\/p>\n

The Other Bennet Sister<\/em>, meanwhile, relies on the novel by Janice Hadlow<\/strong> which follows the events from Pride and Prejudice<\/em> from Mary Bennet\u2019s (Ella Bruccoleri<\/strong>) standpoint. The story then departs from that to follow Mary as she travels to London and the Lake District and the missed sister from the massive Bennet family has a romantic adventure in Regency England.<\/p>\n

Along with Bruccoleri, The Other Bennet Sister<\/em> stars Ruth Jones, Richard E. Grant, Indira Varma, Richard Coyle, R\u00f3is\u00edn Bhalla, Reggie Absolom<\/strong> and Jasmine Sharp. Laurie Davidson<\/strong> and Finn play Bruccoleri\u2019s love interests while Varada Sethu, Aaron Gill<\/strong> and Maddie Close<\/strong> also appear on the show.<\/p>\n

After premiering within the U.K. in March, The Other Bennet Sister<\/em> became an overnight success because of clips going viral on social media. Romance fans within the U.S. have been awaiting The Other Bennet Sister<\/em>\u2018s arrival on BritBox, with the primary three episodes premiering on Wednesday, May 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully [viewers] fall in love with an awful lot of individuals on the show. I read the scripts and I knew that there was humor in there \u2014 in addition to a number of sincerity,\u201d Finn gushed to Us<\/em>. \u201cHowever it wasn\u2019t until I got on a Zoom and I met Ella and we began doing these scenes that I totally understood the tone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finn praised his onscreen scene partner, adding, \u201cShe just made the entire piece just sing. I got such an immediately clear picture of who Mary Bennet was. And he or she\u2019s obviously the lead of this and has this ability to work with a lot enthusiasm daily. She\u2019s also essentially the most prepared person and has a lot generosity to the opposite actors, the crew and is ensuring that everyone seems to be having fun and being sorted.\u201d<\/p>\n
