Benjamin Sesko\u2019s shin injury is \u2018not something anyone must be concerned about\u2019 with the Manchester United striker hoping to be available against Sunderland this weekend.<\/p>\n

The Slovenia international is approaching the top of his first season in England, scoring his 12th<\/sup> goal of the campaign in Sunday\u2019s 3-2 victory over arch-rivals Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Midway through the first-half, the striker was chasing a protracted ball towards the byline when he was shoved by Ibrahima Konate, taking a nasty spill down the notorious dip across the Old Trafford pitch. The 22-year-old crashed through a pitch-side microphone and into the promoting boards.<\/p>\n

Sesko didn’t emerge for the second-half with Amad Diallo onto replace him with Kobbie Mainoo\u2019s 77th<\/sup> minute strike eventually settling the competition.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the sport, Michael Carrick confirmed his striker had suffered \u2018a bang on the shin\u2019, aggravating a previous issue he had been carrying.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s been carrying a little bit of a shin problem for a while, and it was once we got pushed into the hoarding and down the dip. In order that was it,\u2019 the United boss said.<\/p>\n

While Sesko was left in some pain last weekend, it’s unlikely to be an injury that keeps him out for long.<\/p>\n

\u2018He had a superb bang on the shin. Swelling occurs, bruising occurs, then each time you are trying to run, you’re irritating it. From the bone perspective, should you got a kick on the front of the shin it might probably cause significant bone bruising. <\/p>\n

\u2018The load coming through your leg may cause a number of irritation around that area. It is probably going he had some trauma in that area recently, potentially some bone bruising and because it was healing, he has just got a bang in the identical place [against Liverpool] which means it can require some management.<\/p>\n

\u2018Whether it is trauma-related or bruising-related, it might probably be painful nevertheless it just isn’t a serious injury, not something anyone must be really concerned about. It’s nearly pain management.<\/p>\n
