That is the moment a salon client pulled a kitchen knife from her bag and stabbed a hairstylist within the back after complaining that he had ruined her hair.<\/p>\n

The attack happened on the Casa Ferrare salon in Barra Funda, within the west zone of S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, on May 5.<\/p>\n

CCTV footage shows\u00a0Lais\u00a0Gabriela\u00a0Barbosa da Cunha, 27, standing beside hairstylist Eduardo Ferrari as he works on one other client\u2019s hair.<\/p>\n

Eduardo, 29, appears to maintain talking to her while continuing with the opposite appointment.<\/p>\n

Lais\u00a0then suddenly reaches into her bag, pulls out what appears to be a kitchen knife, and drives it into Eduardo\u2019s back.<\/p>\n

The shocked hairstylist immediately jumps forward in pain as staff and security rush in before she will strike again.<\/p>\n

Employees managed to restrain Lais\u00a0and wrestle the knife away from her as other people within the salon crowded around Eduardo.<\/p>\n

Later footage showed\u00a0Lais\u00a0being held by two men outside the shop while Eduardo stood nearby, still visibly shaken.<\/p>\n

Cops arrived on the salon and spoke to those involved before detaining Lais.<\/p>\n

A second stylist later emerged wearing plastic gloves, holding the knife reportedly utilized in the attack.<\/p>\n

Footage also shows a small puncture wound in Eduardo\u2019s back where the blade had entered his body.<\/p>\n

Local media reported that\u00a0Lais\u00a0had undergone a hair procedure on the salon on April 7 involving highlights and texturising.<\/p>\n

Witnesses told police she initially left the salon blissful with the result and even posted compliments online.<\/p>\n

But days later, she began complaining about her hair, demanding her a refund, and sending threatening messages to the salon\u2019s WhatsApp account, based on the police report.<\/p>\n

One administrative employee reportedly told officers that\u00a0Lais\u00a0had said she desired to \u2018set fire\u2019 to the hairstylist.<\/p>\n

Eduardo told police she later demanded he fix the alleged damage or refund the cash. Staff said she returned to the salon without an appointment on May 5 and have become offended after being told there could be no refund.<\/p>\n

Security had reportedly been called to remove her when she pulled the knife from her bag.<\/p>\n

Lais\u00a0later claimed in videos that Eduardo had chopped at her hair with a razor-scissor and left her fringe looking like a cartoon character, and claimed she was given a \u2018chemical cut\u2019, meaning her hair broke due to chemical use.<\/p>\n

Salon staff denied that claim.<\/p>\n

Lais\u00a0admitted stabbing Eduardo after arguing concerning the refund, based on Sao Paulo\u2019s Public Security Secretariat.<\/p>\n

Eduardo suffered a superficial wound and underwent a forensic medical examination, and the knife was seized by the police. <\/p>\n

The salon said in an announcement that Eduardo was deeply shaken but well and out of danger.<\/p>\n

But Eduardo\u2019s team said they disagreed with the case being treated as bodily injury and argued it ought to be treated as attempted murder.<\/p>\n

The salon said: \u2018We cannot normalise or silence situations like this. Attempted murder is incredibly serious and have to be punished.\u2019<\/p>\n

The salon suspended appointments temporarily after the attack, and the case has been sent to the Special Criminal Court and stays under investigation.<\/p>\n
