The R-rated motion sequel is predicted to deliver a powerful opening weekend on the box office, especially with its exclusive big screen release strategy and Urban\u2019s addition as fan-favorite Johnny Cage. It’s the sequel to 2021\u2019s Mortal Kombat, which was released in April 2021 through the pandemic when Warner Bros was concurrently releasing movies in theaters and on HBO Max. Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman (in a unique role), Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada returned from the previous movie.
