Casemiro believes Manchester United have a \u2018big problem\u2019 with their decision over Michael Carrick\u2019s future as manager.<\/p>\n
United appointed Carrick on an interim basis in January following Ruben Amorim\u2019s exit and the 44-year-old has guided the club back into the Champions League with three Premier League games remaining.<\/p>\n
Carrick has lost just two of his 14 games accountable for United and that run of results has included impressive wins over Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.<\/p>\n
United are considering their options with Andoni Iraola, who’s leaving Bournemouth at the top of the season, considered one in all the strongest alternative candidates.<\/p>\n
But Casemiro believes Carrick deserves to remain on as United manager.<\/p>\n
\u2018The club has an enormous problem in that aspect, right?\u2019 Casemiro said in an interview with TNT Sports Brasil when asked about Carrick\u2019s future.<\/p>\n \u2018Because we all know he got here in as an interim manager, he got here, he delivered, he had difficult games, he did thoroughly, he\u2019s doing thoroughly, he\u2019s a man who knows the club, he knows what Manchester United is all about, he has class, he has the attitude of Manchester United, he\u2019s an incredible person, and he deserves it, he deserves to remain.<\/p>\n \u2018If I were to present my opinion, he\u2019s a man who deserves it. Knowing him each day, you already say, \u2018this guy deserves it\u2019. He has class, he lives and breathes the club, he knows what the club is all about.<\/p>\n \u2018So, for me, this guy has to remain on the club for more years because he deserves it, he really deserves he job.\u2019<\/p>\n Speaking at his press conference on Thursday, Carrick insisted that he’s \u2018calm\u2019 over his future at United and believes he has not taken a short-term approach along with his decisions during his time at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n \u2018We\u2019ve got eyes on ending the season strongly as well,\u2019 Carrick said.<\/p>\n \u2018So, I understand the query, I understand the timing of it, but from my viewpoint, right at this stage, it\u2019s just putting the boys in a spot to complete the season strongly, after which, as I\u2019ve said all along, and I\u2019m calm about it, it\u2019ll get sorted out when it\u2019s going to get sorted out, a few of it\u2019s out of my hands, so we\u2019ll see what happens.<\/p>\n \u2018I feel I\u2019ve said from the beginning, though, that I\u2019ve never approached a day here by way of any short-term decisions. Whether that\u2019s different from the outlook of others, I don\u2019t know, but from mine and positively the staff, I feel we\u2019ve definitely made decisions for the long run for the group and individually as players and the way we treat them and take a look at to assist develop them, the squad.<\/p>\n \u2018So, I don\u2019t think, really, it will change the approach for the way I\u2019ve tried to go about things. Again, I understand that it could be for other people looking towards me possibly or towards us, whether that\u2019s players, whether that\u2019s supporters, whether that\u2019s you lot sitting here.<\/p>\n \u2018I don\u2019t understand how that changes, but possibly we\u2019ll get to see, I don\u2019t know.
