Manchester City striker Bunny Shaw and Manchester United captain Maya Le Tissier led the winners on the 2026 Women\u2019s Football Awards.<\/p>\n
Shaw has scored a remarkable 19 goals in 21 WSL games this season and played a pivotal role in helping City claim their first league title in 10 years.<\/p>\n
The Jamaican international is now a two-time winner of the award, having won it back in 2024, while City were also awarded Club of the 12 months after their WSL triumph.<\/p>\n
Le Tissier, meanwhile, has enjoyed one other standout campaign at the guts of United\u2019s defence as she continues to grow to be a significant player for each club and country.<\/p>\n
Returning for its fourth consecutive 12 months\u00a0with Metro as its media partner, the awards night once more brought together leading players, pioneers, and organisations to rejoice\u00a0the game\u2019s continued growth and influence across the UK and beyond.<\/p>\n

\u2018From world-class performances to the work happening behind the scenes, every winner represents progress, ambition, and belief in what women\u2019s football can grow to be.\u2019<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher, returning as co-host for the fourth successive 12 months, said: \u2018This was one other good night that showed just how far the ladies\u2019s game has come. The standard across every category was outstanding, and it\u2019s clear the expansion of the game isn\u2019t slowing down any time soon.\u2019<\/p>\n Off the pitch, the awards spotlighted the individuals and organisations driving the sport forward. Bethany England was named Inspirational Role Model, while Match Of The Day <\/em>presenter Kelly Cates was recognised as Media Figure of the 12 months.<\/p>\n Leading brands and institutions were recognised for his or her role in supporting the sport\u2019s growth. <\/p>\n Adobe was awarded Brand of the 12 months, while Adidas received the Global Impact Award. Chelsea Football Club claimed Best Marketing Campaign, the Premier League was honoured for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility, and Liverpool Football Club received the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award.<\/p>\n The night also sought to reflect and honour on those figures who’ve played a trailblazing role in the game\u2019s past. <\/p>\n Player of the 12 months: <\/strong>Bunny Shaw (Manchester City) Former England international Nikita Parris received the Game Changer award, while Debbie Hewitt MBE was named Women\u2019s Football Champion, and Mo Marley was presented with the Lifetime Achievement award. <\/p>\n And certainly one of the evening\u2019s most poignant moments got here with a Special Tribute to Matt Beard, recognising his enduring impact on the ladies\u2019s game. Special Recognition awards were also presented to Charlotte O\u2019Neill, Maria Karlsson de Cecco, Orreco, and Manchester Corinthians.\u00a0<\/p>\n Charlotte Anthony, Head of Brand Experience at SHEIN UK, said:\u00a0\u2018That is our fourth 12 months as headline partner of the Women\u2019s Football Awards, and it\u2019s something we\u2019re incredibly pleased with.
