MANILA, Philippines\u2013Juan Gomez de Lia\u00f1o gave Converge FiberXers something to construct on despite the tip of their PBA Commissioner\u2019s Cup campaign.<\/p>\n

The FiberXers turned to their prized guard for a 136-122 win over Blackwater Bossing on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Despite missing out on a playoff spot with a 5-7 record for the ninth seed, Gomez de Lia\u00f1o remained upbeat as Converge shifts focus to the upcoming Governors\u2019 Cup.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like we learned loads on this conference. I don\u2019t want to offer any reasons or excuses since it\u2019s as much as us on how we\u2019ll recuperate,\u201d the spitfire guard said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll stay optimistic and do the work together. I imagine good things are certain to occur at the subsequent conference so long as we stick together.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his final game of the import-laden conference, Gomez de Lia\u00f1o registered 25 points, five rebounds and three assists.<\/p>\n

Converge\u2019s finish was a step back from its previous campaign within the Philippine Cup, where it secured a fourth seed finish\u2014making its Commissioner\u2019s Cup exit by a game a disappointment for the FiberXers and their supporters.<\/p>\n

Still, Gomez de Lia\u00f1o said it is going to not affect his offseason approach.<\/p>\n

\u201cStill the identical,\u201d he said, when asked about his training process before the third conference. \u201cI\u2019ll work out with all my trainers, stay locked in towards this offseason. The routine stays the identical.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
