The Bondi Beach massacre suspect Naveed Akram is claimed to be corresponding with a lady while awaiting trial behind bars. <\/p>\n

He’s the prime suspect in the fear attack at a Bondi Beach Hanukkah event in December, <\/p>\n

Two gunmen opened fire on the crowds near the famous Sydney beach, killing 16 people, including a 10-year-old girl and a Holocaust survivour. <\/p>\n

Akram, 24, is accused of several counts of murder and committing a terrorist attack together with a bunch of other offences. <\/p>\n

The second suspected gunman, Akram\u2019s dad Sajid, 50, was shot and killed on the scene by police. <\/p>\n

The 24-year-old has been detained within the high-security unit on the Goulburn prison 124 miles outside of Sydney. <\/p>\n

He has received no less than one letter from a female prisoner, who’s locked up in a women\u2019s jail, based on the Australian Each day Telegraph<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Prison sources are said to be joking about Akram having a \u2018pen pal.\u2019<\/p>\n

A source suggested the tone of the letter was not romantic. <\/p>\n

Recent South Wales Corrective Services doesn’t comment on individual inmates.<\/p>\n

Prisoners are allowed to receive and send letters, including with other inmates, although content can’t be abusive, offensive, threatening or indecent. <\/p>\n

Akram, from Bonnyrigg in Sydney, is believed to have told his mum, Verena, he was on a fishing trip together with his dad within the hours before the tragedy on December 14.<\/p>\n

Ms Akram was reportedly not capable of discover her son from a photograph from the scene.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u2018He doesn\u2019t have a firearm. He doesn\u2019t even exit. He doesn\u2019t mix around with friends. He doesn\u2019t drink, he doesn\u2019t smoke, he doesn\u2019t go to bad places.<\/p>\n

\u2018He goes to work, he comes home, he goes to exercise, and that\u2019s it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Australia continues to be coming to terms with the massacre, with a national day of mourning observed in January with a sea of candles of those killed. <\/p>\n

Among the many victims was Rabbi Eli Schlander, a key organiser of the Hanukkah event, who grew up in north London. <\/p>\n

One other victim was a granddad and Holocaust survivour Alex Kleytman, who was shot as he shielded his wife throughout the gunfire<\/p>\n

He and his wife Larisa each survived the genocide unleashed by the Nazis, with Alex living in \u2018dreadful conditions\u2019 in Siberia. <\/p>\n

The pair moved to Australia from Ukraine and were married for 57 years. <\/p>\n

The youngest victim of the shooting was Matilda, 10, whose family described her as a lady who spread happiness all over the place she went. <\/p>\n
