Wayne Rooney felt Chelsea were the \u2018higher team\u2019 for the vast majority of their Premier League draw with Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Chelsea had lost six successive Premier League games ahead of their trip to Anfield on Saturday but managed to stop the rot with a 1-1 draw.<\/p>\n

The Blues\u2019 miserable run looked set to proceed when Ryan Gravenberch curled home an excellent strike to provide Liverpool an early lead.<\/p>\n

But Enzo Fernandez\u2019s cross-come-shot evaded Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and brought Chelsea level before half-time.<\/p>\n

Each teams had probabilities to attain a winner after the break however the game finished 1-1, meaning Chelsea may very well be within the bottom-half of the Premier League at the top of the weekend.<\/p>\n

Liverpool, meanwhile, stay fourth and move a step closer to qualifying for next season\u2019s Champions League.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot\u2019s side were booed off after the stalemate and Rooney says the Anfield faithful were clearly \u2018a bit edgy\u2019 throughout a game they were perhaps fortunate to not lose.<\/p>\n

In addition to booing on the full-time whistle, Liverpool fans also made their feelings felt when energetic teenager Rio Ngumoha was subbed off with around half an hour remaining.<\/p>\n

Explaining that substitution, Slot said: \u2018I don\u2019t think it was a few of them \u2013 there have been lots that didn\u2019t agree with the change which is totally comprehensible.<\/p>\n

\u2018He was having problems along with his muscles and once I asked him he said he was undecided he could proceed. I knew this might be the response because he’s such a great player.<\/p>\n

\u2018So often in football, people don\u2019t know every part. I’m the manager and I would like to make decisions. Knowing why makes it more sense for people.\u2019<\/p>\n

Reacting to the boos at full-time, Slot added: \u2018That\u2019s probably got something to do with us not winning. It completely is sensible individuals are disillusioned if Liverpool don\u2019t win.\u2019<\/p>\n

Discussing Liverpool\u2019s performance as an entire, the under-pressure Dutchman said: \u2018We began off rather well and got a giant probability from a set-piece which was close to creating it 2-0.<\/p>\n
