Veteran commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has recently shared how Virat Kohli, who often says that he doesn\u2019t care much about criticisms, is definitely very \u201csensitive to criticism\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat could be very necessary to him (staying private). But he’s anyone who can also be very sensitive to criticism. Yeah, yeah, I feel he gets to find out about what\u2019s being said about him, because I\u2019ve had experience with him as a captain and player. And suddenly at some point I might find him very cold on the toss or whatever, and I might think, perhaps he heard something that was being said about him,\u201d Manjrekar shared during Sportstar\u2019s Insight Edge Podcast.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo he\u2019s certainly one of those first guys who kept saying, \u2018You already know, we don\u2019t care about what people say,\u2019 but he\u2019s also very sensitive. But possibly it\u2019s a superb thing as well; if he hears that sort of criticism or something negative, that can just spur him on to get that next big hundred,\u201d he again added.<\/p>\n
While Manjrekar has had some issues with Virat Kohli as a cricketer, he has said that the facets of him he finds admirable.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe thing to love about him as captain was when things went flat, when he knew he wouldn\u2019t have the ability to get a wicket on the pitch with the bowling resources he had. He would still be certain that the team was driven and that there was energy on the sector, and he made them consider things would occur. I feel that was his great strength,\u201d said Manjrekar.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve at all times believed that the team wears the look of the captain. Under Virat Kohli, every player needed to be like Virat Kohli. If anyone went on the market and looked a little bit flat, they’d not be playing the subsequent Test match. So everybody responded to Virat\u2019s aggression,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
