Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong>\u2018s fellow late night hosts playfully poked fun at his recent drama with President Donald Trump<\/strong> and first lady Melania Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Stephen Colbert<\/strong>\u2019s final episode of The Late Show<\/em>, five late night hosts gathered throughout the Monday, May 11, broadcast<\/a>. Colbert, 61, asked the group whether or not they ever thought in regards to the president having \u201cstrong feelings\u201d about their programming.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou recognize what\u2019s even weirder? Doing a job that his wife has strong feelings about,\u201d Kimmel, 58, said, as Seth Meyers<\/strong> joked, \u201cMost of us have avoided that part.\u201d<\/p>\n

John Oliver<\/strong>, meanwhile, recalled the best way Kimmel initially responded to the drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an incredible thing to get a text from Jimmy saying, \u2018Oh, boy,\u2019 after which an image of Melania mad at him. What a method to start the day!\u201d Oliver, 49, quipped.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> said he had an unexpected response, adding, \u201cAfter which I sent a text to you guys, and I said, \u2018Hey, don\u2019t be mad at me, but I liked it.\u2019 I believe she\u2019s got some extent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel recently made headlines for a monologue on his late night show which featured a 10-minute roast in regards to the president ahead of the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner. Kimmel joked that Melania, 56, has a \u201cglow like an expectant widow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedian was subsequently slammed by Melania and Donald, 79, after a shooting took place on the Washington, D.C. event in April. Melania described the joke as \u201chateful and violent rhetoric\u201d that \u201cis meant to divide our country,\u201d while her husband called to have Kimmel fired.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all form of comfortable once you get in trouble over there, and the way do you’re feeling once you get up, and also you see the eye?\u201d Colbert asked Kimmel, who replied, \u201cThe saddest a part of it’s that I realize in those moments that the one 4 individuals who care are sitting right here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel added: \u201cIt takes 12 hours for the remainder of the people in my life to even determine that anything\u2019s occurring.\u201d<\/p>\n

The five late night hosts got here together in honor of Colbert\u2019s final episode of The Late Show, which is able to air on Thursday, May 21.<\/p>\n

When CBS announced in July 2025 that The Late Show was ending, the news was met with immediate backlash. Network executives then released a press release addressing their decision, claiming it was not \u201crelated in any method to the show\u2019s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount\u201d but was as a substitute as a consequence of funds.<\/p>\n

Some were still skeptical in regards to the move, because it got here after an episode where Colbert spoke out about Paramount, CBS\u2019 parent company, settling what he called \u201ca nuisance lawsuit\u201d brought by Donald. In his lawsuit, the president alleged that 60 Minutes had unfairly edited an interview of Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n
