We have talked rather a lot about loving newcomers to “NXT” like Lizzy Rain and Mason Rook, but there are quite just a few other faces who’re helping the developmental brand with its latest, brisker feel who deserve some recognition. Those guys will not be immediately in the highest title picture like Rook or Kam Hendrix, who can also be after NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, but they’re helping to pad out the roster after call-ups and departures, and just the final need for “NXT” to feature latest talent.<\/p>\n

Tate Wilder was involved in a extremely fun six-man tag team match alongside Sean Legacy, who also feels fresh having only recently returned from injury, and EK Prosper against BirthRight. Wilder immediately had an interesting story, as well, with not wanting to tag out to prove his value to the opposite guys, with that failing, leading to a loss. We’ll see him in singles motion next week against Keanu Carver next week, which looks like it’ll be a very good match.<\/p>\n

While it looked like Naraku was going to also immediately gun for D’Angelo and the NXT Championship, it sort of now looks like he will fight his way up and stack some wins. He took on Lince Dorado, who I feel like we’ve not seen in quite a while on WWE programming. I personally must see somewhat more from the previous IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, but he’s, again, a brand new, fresh face. Despite what I and others might imagine of him within the ring, his character is interesting, and it should be much more interesting to see him work to adapt to WWE’s style.<\/p>\n

There have been also some backstage appearances by other latest faces, like Dorian Van Dux, who I’m really interested to see within the ring again. Thankfully, he said he’ll be able to go by next week, and I can easily say I’m looking forward to that. Noam Dar was seen backstage with Romeo Moreno, a reputation I had already forgotten about, and after Dar’s loss, it looks like they may very well be involved in a story, with Moreno helping Dar remember exactly who he’s after getting back from a year-long absence.<\/p>\n

There was Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels, and anything Hill does is a win for me, as I actually love his weird, quirky character. Putting him against the vibe I’m getting from Angels looks like it’ll be fun and ridiculous, and I’m here for it.<\/p>\n

“NXT” is feeling latest and fun on all levels, not only the highest title scene. Tonight’s episode may not have had many stakes, but it surely arrange plenty of interesting things for the brand new guys, which is typically all we will ask for.<\/p>\n
