A husband who murdered his beauty pageant finalist wife and\u00a0blended her\u00a0stays has been locked up for all times.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mum-of-two Kristina Joksimovic, 38,\u00a0was killed at home in Switzerland\u00a0following an argument together with her husband, Marc Rieben,\u00a043.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The depraved\u00a0businessman, who shared two young daughters with\u00a0Ms\u00a0Joksimovic, then used\u00a0a jigsaw, a knife and garden scissors to dismember her body contained in the family home before using a blender on her body parts. <\/p>\n

Rieben left her\u00a0stays\u00a0for\u00a0Ms\u00a0Joksimovic\u2019s dad to search out\u00a0following the February 2024 murder that shook the country and put Switzerland\u2019s domestic violence epidemic within the highlight. <\/p>\n

Now Rieben has been jailed for all times\u00a0for the sadistic killing in\u00a0Binningen\u00a0near Basel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ms\u00a0Joksimovic\u00a0is alleged to have told her husband she wants a divorce together with\u00a0financial support and custody of their children before her murder. <\/p>\n

Prosecutors said Rieben acted knowingly and intentionally, and in full awareness of his actions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chilling details from the trial revealed how Rieben studied\u00a0the\u00a0Atlas\u00a0of Human Anatomy to show himself the way to dismember his wife\u2019s body.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anina Hofer, the lawyer for\u00a0Ms\u00a0Joksimovic\u2019s parents, read their heartbreaking statement in court: \u2018I stand here today in court as a mother who has lost her daughter. Whose children miss their mummy day-after-day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018She was loving, protective of her children, and gave them all the pieces. Only one month after she tried to forge a brand new path for herself and her children, she was brutally torn from life.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018No verdict can bring our daughter back. But it could possibly show that her life matters.\u2019\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rieben was ordered to pay around \u00a394,600\u00a0to the couple\u2019s two daughters, now aged five and 6, and over \u00a3264,000\u00a0to\u00a0Ms\u00a0Joksimovic\u2019s family,\u00a0Each day Mail<\/a>\u00a0reports.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

A gaggle of protesters had gathered outside the court constructing in\u00a0Muttenz, with extra cops brought in as Judge Daniel Schmid\u00a0sentenced Rieben. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The judge said: \u2018There are cases that make fiction grow to be reality. This case has modified our reality.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018No court ruling can fill the void left by the lack of a loved one. We as a court may even always remember you and can carry you in our hearts.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Joksimovic suffered an \u2018agonising\u2019 death as her husband punched,\u00a0kicked\u00a0and strangled her \u2018\u2019in cold blood,\u2019 prosecutors said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He then\u00a0tried to eliminate her body using the tools and bleach before the blender.<\/p>\n

Rieben said he acted in self-defence after his wife allegedly threatened him with a knife in the course of the argument, but\u00a0the\u00a0prosecutor, citing\u00a0evidence from the forensic report,\u00a0said \u2018there was never a knife attack.\u2019 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The prosecutor said: \u2018The person\u2019s\u00a0behaviour\u00a0after the\u00a0crime<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0was almost beyond belief in its cruelty and absurdity.<\/p>\n

\u2018The person\u00a0acted systematically and with a plan; his\u00a0behaviour\u00a0demonstrated\u00a0the complete extent of his hatred for his wife.\u2019\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

An authority on the trial,\u00a0professor\u00a0Frank Urbaniok, said he had diagnosed Rieben with narcissistic traits and an obsessive-compulsive disorder.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said Rieben acted with \u2018meticulous\u00a0precision,\u2019\u00a0and the way after the murder, he had gone to have dinner with the couple\u2019s two children pretending nothing had happened.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The professor said he has \u2018never seen anything like this before\u2019 during his over\u00a030 years of\u00a0experience spanning 5,000 cases.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s eldest daughter, who was\u00a04 on the time, told the police their dad is \u2018lying\u2019\u00a0when the\u00a0detectives\u00a0first\u00a0told\u00a0the kids\u00a0that their mum had died, their dad was responsible\u00a0and that he\u00a0said he\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0do it on purpose.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The youngsters now live with their mother\u2019s parents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ms\u00a0Joksimovic, a winner of the Miss Northwest Switzerland title, was a finalist within the Miss Switzerland competition. She went on to work as a modelling\u00a0coach\u00a0and he or she was well-known in the neighborhood.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
