One way or the other, Kylo Ren returned! Adam Driver<\/strong> desired to revisit the \u201cStar Wars\u201d character of Ben Solo in a brand new movie set after the events of 2019\u2019s \u201cThe Rise of Skywalker.\u201d Unfortunately, it was shot down by Disney execs who couldn\u2019t see how Ben Solo was alive. In that movie, Rey (Daisy Ridley<\/strong>) helped redeem Kylo Ren, and he returned to his identity as Ben Solo. After Rey died defeating a resurrected Emperor Palpatine, Ben Solo gave his life force to bring her back to life. In so doing, he appeared to die and fade into the Force. Even though it\u2019s unclear where the character will go from there, his time as Kylo Ren is being revisited in a brand-new story.<\/p>\n

On May 15, comic book author and novelist Charles Soule sent out an exciting surprise for \u201cStar Wars\u201d fans in his monthly newsletter. He began the comic book series with \u201cThe Rise of Kylo Ren,\u201d which explored Ben Solo\u2019s path to falling to the dark side.<\/p>\n

The second story, \u201cStar Wars: Legacy of Vader \u2013 The Reign of Kylo Ren,\u201d explored the events just after \u201cThe Last Jedi,\u201d where Kylo Ren grappled with being the brand new Supreme Leader of the First Order after he killed Supreme Leader Snoke.<\/p>\n

The third story, \u201cThe Fall of Kylo Ren,\u201d will happen across the time \u201cThe Rise of Skywalker\u201d opens. This likely implies that it’ll be happening before he actually comes face-to-face with Emperor Palpatine, even though it may give some hints as to the way to find him.<\/p>\n

Looking back, along with just wanting more Star Wars sequel trilogy material, I STILL actually need to follow up on the large Tava Ren reveal.<\/p>\n

For fans who haven\u2019t been following the comics too closely, Tava Ren is a Force-sensitive user introduced in \u201cThe Reign of Kylo Ren.\u201d She appears in two issues. One details how Supreme Leader Snoke solid away the Knights of Ren and the way she got here to be in command of their group.<\/p>\n

The second is when she goes to Kylo Ren so as to kill him. Nevertheless, they find yourself dining together, and she or he reaches over the table and kisses him. He quickly draws back and orders his troops to kill her; nonetheless, she manages to steal a ship and manages to flee. When General Hux asks him if he wants to fireside on the vessel, Kylo Ren decides to only walk away and let her make her escape.<\/p>\n

Some fans have wondered if Tava Ren was introduced as a possible love interest for Kylo Ren; nonetheless, it\u2019s unclear what role she’s going to serve on this story, as she doesn’t seem like in \u201cThe Rise of Skywalker.\u201d Kylo Ren has the Knights of Ren around him when he constructs his helmet after which defeats them right before fighting Emperor Palpatine at the tip of the film, so it\u2019s unclear if he defeats Tava in battle so as to gain back control over his Knights.<\/p>\n

In accordance with ScreenRant<\/a>, \u201cThe Fall of Kylo Ren\u201d can be a much shorter, five-issue series released in August. Soule has partnered up with artist Will Sliney to share this latest chapter within the character\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

Although Soule called it the \u201cKylo Ren trilogy,\u201d in his newsletter, he did admit that it was possible that he could revisit Kylo Ren\u2019s story somewhere down the road with one other issue. It is feasible that he might adapt no less than a few of the events planned for \u201cThe Hunt for Ben Solo\u201d into a comic book book if there may be enough interest.<\/p>\n

In October 2025, Adam Driver revealed that he had worked with director Steven Soderbergh<\/strong> to make a movie that they called \u201cThe Hunt for Ben Solo,\u201d wherein he would have reprised his role as Ben Solo. The film would have taken place after Ben Solo supposedly died at the tip of 2019\u2019s \u201cThe Rise of Skywalker.\u201d<\/p>\n

The project had been secretly in development for over two years, with a full script written by Scott Z. Burns. Driver told AP News<\/a> that it was \u201cone among the best [expletive] scripts I had ever been a component of.\u201d<\/p>\n

In accordance with Driver, Disney heads Bob Iger and Alan Bergman shot down the script though it had already gotten approval from Lucasfilm. \u201cThey didn\u2019t see how Ben Solo was alive,\u201d Driver said on the time. \u201cAnd that was that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regardless that \u201cStar Wars\u201d fans launched a campaign to bring the movie back, Soderbergh has since stated that he considers the project permanently shelved and has no plans to return to it if asked.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
