Brian Norman Jr. doesn’t sound fascinated with taking much day without work following his second-round knockout win over Josh Wagner last Saturday night in Norfolk, Virginia.<\/p>\n

The previous WBO welterweight champion said afterward that he views the fight as a step toward getting lively again after time away from the ring, and he made it clear he wants one other fight soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, it was cool, but I mean, only had two rounds. I used to be just attempting to get him a bit of bad once I seen him a bit of shin big, but no, dude going to quit on me,\u201d said Norman Jr. to DAZN Boxing after the fight, talking about his win over Wagner.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut no, it was cool. I suppose you possibly can say that\u2019s me knocking dust off. But man, let me get right back into it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Norman Jr. also said he has already settled into working with trainer Ronnie Shields, adding that the partnership helped him stay calmer contained in the ring after an aggressive start against Wagner.<\/p>\n

\u201cI learned loads from him just being calm and funky. You recognize what I\u2019m saying? Like, I just been chilling the entire time,\u201d said Norman Jr.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old Norman Jr. will likely need a stronger opponent next trip if he hopes to maneuver back into position for one more title fight at welterweight. A rematch with Devin Haney could be one in all the largest available fights for him, while bouts against WBA champion Rolando Romero or WBC titleholder Ryan Garcia could also grow to be options if Norman Jr. keeps winning.<\/p>\n
