Vashu Bhagnani calls court relief in Suggestions Music dispute a \u201cvictory for all producers\u201d: Report<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The matter involves the rights linked to several popular movies, including Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Biwi No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa <\/em>and Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai<\/em>. The dispute also concerns the proposed release and exploitation of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai <\/em>starring Varun Dhawan.<\/p>\n In response to an ANI report, in statements issued through his legal team, Bhagnani said the court\u2019s \u201cestablishment\u201d order applies to all movies, songs, and music rights mentioned within the suit. In response to the producer\u2019s lawyer, \u201cI imagine they’ve not undergone the court order rigorously. The order clearly states that the whole music rights, songs, and movies mentioned within the plaintiff’s suit are covered under the \u2018establishment\u2019 order.\u201d<\/p>\n The statement further added that actors, filmmakers, producers, and technicians related to the matter may additionally must respond before the court. \u201cDefinitely, all actors, director David Dhawan, producers, technicians, and each other person involved within the matter may have to look before the Court and submit their reply; otherwise, they might be liable to face contempt of court proceedings,\u201d the lawyer stated.<\/p>\n Bhagnani\u2019s legal team described the interim relief as a vital step for producers across the film industry. \u201cDefinitely, it is a victory for all producers, and they have to come together to claim and protect their rights,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n The producer also raised concerns about recreated and remixed songs being monetised without proper authorisation. Referring to songs from his movies, the lawyer said, \u201cIf someone misuses it without my consent, my rights are directly affected, and it also causes me substantial financial loss.\u201d<\/p>\n Bhagnani further alleged that neither he nor his company had been informed in regards to the alleged recreation of certain songs. \u201cNo, they neither approached me nor informed me in any manner regarding the recreation of the song,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n The dispute also touches upon the larger issue of evolving digital rights within the entertainment industry.
