Hayden Panettiere\u00a0<\/strong>recalls a distressing moment when she was 18 years old in her recent memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning,<\/em> which was released on Tuesday, May 19.\u00a0Within the book, the Scream VI<\/em> actress, now 36, recalled being on a celebrity-filled \u201csuper yacht,\u201d when a girlfriend told her to \u201cget in bed\u201d with an older, famous man. The revelation prompted fans to wonder who Hayden was talking about.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy body now not felt like my very own,\u201d Hayden recalled in a single excerpt from her book, which also delves into her past with addiction, struggles living within the highlight, her relationships and family. \u201c\u2018Oh my God,\u2019 I believed. \u2018Is he naked under there?’\u201d she wrote, claiming that her trusted friend whispered to her, \u201cI need you to get in bed with him,\u201d before leaving the room.<\/p>\n

Hayden only referred to the person as a \u201cfamous thirty-something British singer-songwriter.\u201d She complied together with her friend\u2019s demand by moving into bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs soon because the door clicked close, my survival instinct kicked in,\u201d the Heroes<\/em> alum wrote within the book, before revealing what she told the unnamed man.\u00a0\u201cLook \u2026 I don\u2019t know what she said to you, but this just isn’t going to occur.\u201d<\/p>\n

Upon leaving the room, Hayden began to pack up her things to depart the yacht.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like I\u2019d been kicked within the face,\u201d she wrote, referring to the betrayal she felt by the unnamed girlfriend.\u00a0\u201cShe\u2019d confided in me, pampered me and treated me like her best friend \u2014 then turned around and treated me like a call girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

The discharge of Hayden\u2019s book comes one week after she appeared on Jay Shetty\u2019<\/strong>s \u201cOn Purpose\u201d podcast to debate the memoir and, particularly, the yacht incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe incontrovertible fact that I used to be 18, despite the fact that I\u2019d lived such an enormous life and I believed I used to be oh so mature at 18 \u2026 scientifically, your frontal lobes don\u2019t develop until we\u2019re what, 25, 26?\u201d Hayden identified within the May 11 episode. \u201cSo, despite the fact that I felt like I could make healthy decisions, protected decisions, I wasn\u2019t able to being fully aware of what was occurring around me.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the bedroom demand from the girl \u201ctook [her] by surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n
