The primary images of wounds suffered by Gaza flotilla protesters while in Israeli detention have been revealed.<\/p>\n

All 50 boats from the GlobalSamud Flotilla sailing to deliver aid to Gaza were detained by Israeli forces on Monday.<\/p>\n

Some 428 participants were detained across 40 different countries, and held in detention until their deportation today.<\/p>\n

Italian journalist Alessandro Mantovani, considered one of the activists flown home earlier, said he had been beaten up on arrival in Israeli detention in what he described as a container, calling it a \u2018place of \u200bterror\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018Beat you up means they kicked me within the legs and punched me within the face. These are individuals who know what they’re doing, so I don\u2019t have any major visible marks \u2026 They might beat you up and would let you know \u2018Welcome \u200cto Israel\u201d, \u2060he told reporters on arrival at Rome\u2019s Fiumicino airport.<\/p>\n

One other Italian activist, Dario Carotenuto, a lawmaker from the 5-Star Movement, said he had been punched in the attention and kicked while detained.<\/p>\n

It comes after video, released earlier by Israel, showed protesters handcuffed behind their backs and left to kneel face down on the ground in rows.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir will be seen smirking, taunting and\u00a0telling detained activists they ought to be imprisoned\u00a0for a really very long time.<\/p>\n

Israeli\u00a0Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u00a0said although Israel has every right to stop \u2018provocative flotillas of\u00a0Hamas\u00a0terrorist supporters,\u2019 the best way that Ben Gvir handled the flotilla activists \u2018will not be according to Israel\u2019s values and norms.\u2019<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the flotilla said there isn’t a legal basis for the arrest of participants attempting to deliver aid.<\/p>\n

The Department of Foreign Affairs in Ireland said officials \u2018are actively monitoring the situation regarding the Global Sumud Flotilla\u2019 and are engaging with the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Israeli Foreign Ministry, on X, described the flotilla as a \u2018provocation and a seek for publicity\u2019 and claimed there was no aid on board.<\/p>\n

It added: \u2018The aim of this provocation is to serve\u00a0Hamas, to divert attention from Hamas\u2019s refusal to disarm, and to obstruct progress on President Trump\u2019s peace plan.\u2019<\/p>\n
