Alex Rodriguez<\/strong> and his girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro<\/strong>, have called it quits after three years of dating.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo make clear, Alex and I are currently taking a while apart, but there continues to be mutual love, care and deep respect between us and for our families. We remain supportive of each other, and there is totally no animosity, drama or negative story here,\u201d Cordeiro, 46, told TMZ<\/a> in a press release published on Thursday, May 21.<\/p>\n

The statement continued, \u201cI\u2019m also navigating a serious health matter involving a member of the family presently, so my focus is understandably there. Alex and I proceed to be very close, and out of respect for everybody involved, especially our daughters and family members, I\u2019d kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this case deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in October 2022 that Rodriguez, now 50, had begun dating Cordeiro. The pair made their Instagram debut as a pair that December and have continued to present glimpses of their romance.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Rodriguez exclusively told Us<\/em> that he had Cordeiro by his side while moving his daughter Natasha into her college dorm. (Rodriguez shares daughters Natasha, 21, and Ella, 18, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis<\/strong>. The pair split in 2008.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI went with Jac, and we were waiting for Natasha [before we left]. We got there early to her dorms, and we saw a handful of fogeys saying goodbye to their children,\u201d he recalled to Us<\/em> on the time of move-in day. \u201cAnd it was funny, each time it was the exact same. The parents were a large number. The daddy would go into the motive force\u2019s seat, the mom would give the hug to the young man or the young woman, and each time it was just like the mom crying and the kid consoling, [which was] sort of cute. It was no different with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodriguez went on to credit Cordeiro, a fitness instructor, for helping him get in shape.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, she\u2019s been incredible for me and for Cynthia,\u201d he exclusively told Us<\/em> on the time. \u201c[Jac is] the one person who can come into coparents and make us each higher. Cynthia has gotten in incredible shape following the JacFit program, [and] I\u2019ve lost 32 kilos following her program.\u201d<\/p>\n
