A Florida woman has been accused of convincing a disabled man that she was \u201ctrapped in a domestic violence relationship\u201d and \u201cneeded money to flee,\u201d allegedly conning him out of greater than $2,000 along with her lies.<\/p>\n

The Marion County Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed that Gianna Abel-Venezia<\/strong> was arrested after she was accused of scamming the person, whom she connected with online. She is now facing a felony charge of fraud-swindle.<\/p>\n

\u201cGianna met the victim on Facebook Dating and commenced talking with him on the phone. She told him she was trapped in a domestic violence relationship and needed money to flee. To sell the story, she even sent photos appearing to point out injuries. Feeling bad for her situation, the victim sent money,\u201d the police department wrote in a Facebook<\/a> post on Wednesday, May 20.<\/p>\n

Police said that Abel-Venezia, 19, continued to scam the victim and ultimately got him to send her greater than $2,000.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAaron Goodwin and estranged wife Victoria Goodwin got here face-to-face in court as she was sentenced following a murder-for-hire plot to allegedly kill the Ghost Adventures star. Victoria, 32, spoke on to Aaron, 49, on Thursday, June 5, apologizing for her actions. \u201cFirstly, and most significantly, I would really like to apologize to Aaron. I\u2019m so immensely [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhen the victim discovered he had been lied to and confronted Gianna, she admitted she was only talking to him for money and since he was disabled,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cShe also told him she had been doing this to people since 2025 and based on her, \u2018there ain\u2019t nun that may occur.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

After Abel-Venezia was arrested, she reportedly doubled down that she shouldn\u2019t be penalized and said that if someone is \u2018\u201cdumb enough\u2019 to send money, that\u2019s on them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Abel-Venezia did admit she knew what she did was \u201ctechnically flawed\u201d and asked the detective to apologize to the victim for her. \u201cWhat she didn\u2019t expect was learning that scamming people out of cash is, in reality, illegal,\u201d the department continued.<\/p>\n

Following her interview, authorities have come to imagine that there could also be additional victims that Abel-Venezia scammed with claims of \u201cdomestic violence\u201d or \u201csex trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n

The department concluded the statement by asking anyone that believed they might have been scammed by Abel-Venezia to contact Detective Bradish<\/strong> at 352-402-6022.<\/p>\n
